Merry Christmas 2007
'Twas just weeks until Christmas and to the computer I went
For our traditional Christmas letter still hadn’t been sent.
Every year we look back and share our news with you,
So sit back, relax, grab a cookie or two!
In January of this year when there’s ice and there’s snow
We decided that to Washington DC we’d all go.
So we packed up the van, threw the kids in there too
Then we toured the museums, the monuments, and the zoo!
Also in January Eric turned nine!
This has been a good year for him, he’s doing just fine.
He’s in the fourth grade now, still likes science and math
He’s trying very hard to stay on the right path.
The following month brought more birthday cheer
Ellie celebrated her day with a princess party this year.
She’s now in the first grade and in school all day
The highlight of her career – crossing the monkey-bars all the way!
Now on to Audrey she’s a sixth grader in school.
She still loves reading and math and the piano’s still cool.
This year she got braces, which wasn’t much fun.
She’ll like the results though, when all’s said and done.
We were not prepared for what eighth grade would bring
Kyle turned thirteen this year and now knows everything.
He sends hundreds of texts and we know dating is near, though,
What he really enjoys now is the game, Guitar Hero.
A few months ago Tor
took a good look around
And buried in the attic Dad’s telescope he found.
He set it all up and learned what it could do
And now the planets and stars he’ll take time to view.
Deb took a new job that Eric and Ellie think is cool
Mom sometimes substitute teaches at their elementary school.
We’ve been so richly blessed and as 2007 now ends
We want to wish a very Merry Christmas to our family and friends!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
Tor, Debbie, Kyle, Audrey, Eric, and Ellie
