Tor's Project

Say what you like about "Computer Type" guys - you know the kind of guy who knows how to get your computer to do what you want it to do, when your ready to throw it through the nearest window - they really are nice to have around when you need them.  Tor is definitely a "Computer Type" guy.  When friends have a computer problem or question Tor's the one they call.  When I can't get the website to do what I envision it to do, Tor's the one I call.

For Tor computers are more than just annoying machines designed to test the limits of human patience,  they are devises he can make do really cool stuff.  For example, the computer in our living room has become the family DVR (Digital Video Recorder).  Tor uses it to record shows and watch them, commercial free, whenever he pleases.  Cool huh! Well with a computer in the living room, one in the office, one in the basement, and my laptop around the house, you wouldn't think we'd have use for a fifth right?   Think again.   Check out Tor's latest computer project.

Does this look like an ordinary picture frame to you?  It's actually a computer screen.  The computer for it is downstairs on a shelf.  This old computer is used to randomly display a series of digital photographs.  So our picture frame in the living room displays a different photograph every 15 seconds.
